Executive Team

The Executive Team has a leadership and co-ordinating role in the efficient, effective and appropriate planning, operation and monitoring of the the Health Board’s day-to-day internal and external business and relationships. The Executive Team is the mechanism through which the Chief Executive co-ordinates the management of the organisation. The Executive Team is an important source of advice to the Health Board on key issues as they apply to the role and corporate responsibilities of the Health Board. The Executive Team approves key organisational policies, procedures and strategies in line with its authority and the Scheme of Delegation of the organisation.

The Executive Team also acts as Risk Management Operational Group where key organisational risks are discussed and actions agreed. The Executive Team on a monthly basis also formally reviews the Corporate Risk Register and identifies the “Top 10” risks and report these to the Board, Audit Committee and other Committees as appropriate.
