Celebrating our Staff at our 2025 Staff Recognition Awards!

On Friday 4th July, on the eve of the NHS’s 77th birthday, we proudly hosted our annual Staff Recognition Awards.

It’s always a privilege to bring colleagues together from across the Health Board to honour the incredible achievements, dedication, and compassionate care delivered every day. What makes this event even more special is that all nominations come from fellow staff - a true celebration of peer appreciation and mutual respect. The evening was a celebration of the people who make the NHS what it is.

The event was hosted by Chief Executive, Nicola Prygodzicz.

In her opening address, Nicola acknowledged the overwhelming number and standard of nominations received this year. She said: "We work in a challenging environment, and this past year- especially the winter- was no exception. But I'm constantly inspired by the energy people bring and the forward-thinking, exciting ideas that come through, even in tough times."

"We recognise that even with this many nominations, this is just a snapshot of the excellent work undertaken by our staff every day. So our celebration this evening is about recognising the contribution of all our staff but those of you here today, in particular, have been recognised for your dedication and efforts.”
