Celebrating our Staff at our 2026 Staff Recognition Awards!

Tonight, on Friday 24th July, we proudly hosted our annual Staff Recognition Awards.

It’s always a privilege to bring colleagues together from across the Health Board to honour the incredible achievements, dedication, and compassionate care delivered every day. What makes this event even more special is that all nominations come from fellow staff - a true celebration of peer appreciation and mutual respect. The evening was a celebration of the people who make the NHS what it is.

The event was hosted by Chief Executive, Nicola Prygodzicz.

In her opening address, Nicola acknowledged the overwhelming number and standard of nominations received this year. She said: "It’s my privilege and pleasure to welcome you all this evening to celebrate the many achievements we’ve seen over the past 12 months, despite the increasing challenging circumstances you all work under. During times of crisis and difficulty in particular is where we see the most heroic actions from our staff, which never ceases to amaze me.

"We recognise that even with this many nominations, this is just a snapshot of the excellent work undertaken by our staff every day. So our celebration this evening is about recognising the contribution of all our staff but those of you here today, in particular, have been recognised for your dedication and efforts.”
