Children and families at Grange University Hospital received an early dose of festive magic this week as Dragons RFC players visited the Children’s Ward to deliver presents, meet young patients, and share some Christmas joy.
The visit brought plenty of smiles, laughter, and excitement as players spent time chatting with children and handing out gifts. One of the highlights of the day was a special surprise for young superfan Andrei, who was thrilled to receive match tickets personally from the team.
Jared Rosser, who was part of the visiting Dragons RFC squad, said:
“It’s always a privilege to come and spend time with the kids here. Seeing their faces light up reminds us what this time of year is really about. We’re grateful to be able to bring a bit of joy, and we hope the presents and the match tickets give them something to look forward to.”
Hospital staff expressed their gratitude for the team’s warmth, generosity, and the positive impact they had on both patients and families as well as getting some treats from the players for themselves too!
The Dragons’ visit has become a memorable moment of the festive season for the ward, leaving behind smiles, excitement, and a lasting sense of community spirit.
