Thank you to everyone who has followed our infection prevention measures in recent weeks since introducing masks and other precautions, we’ve seen a welcome decrease in Winter illnesses across our hospital sites.
This improvement means we can now step down mandatory mask-wearing in our hospitals. However, we still encourage visitors to wear a mask, especially in busy areas or when around vulnerable patients.
We do ask everyone to remain vigilant. If you’re visiting one of our hospital sites, you can continue to play your part in keeping everyone safe by following these steps 👇
💉Get vaccinated
If you’re eligible for a flu or COVID vaccination, don’t miss out. Vaccination remains the best way to protect yourself and others from serious illness.
🙌🏾Keep your hands clean
Wash your hands regularly with soap and water or use hand sanitiser. It’s a small action that makes a big difference.
🫂 Visit with a purpose
Visiting with a purpose will also remain for patients in closed wards and bays, please link with the nurse in charge on arrival. Respiratory viruses can be dangerous for vulnerable patients. If you’re feeling unwell, or have recently been in contact with someone who is, please avoid visiting the hospital unless absolutely necessary.
Thank you to everyone doing their part to help protect our patients, staff, and community.❤️
