Is Giving in Your Blood?

We are currently going through unprecedented times and we need to ensure that we have blood and platelet products to treat patients in need. Blood donation is classed as essential travel and therefore the Welsh Blood Service is reaching out to everyone who is fit and well, where possible to attend their nearest donation clinic.  They need donors to save lives.

They have set up regional donation hubs, therefore your regular place of donation may no longer be available and you may have to travel further than you would normally. The following video explains their new process  -  This video on the WBS Facebook page explains the new process

In July, you can donate in Newport & Torfaen, check venues, dates, times and book an appointment  or call their contact centre on 0800 252 266.
