We are pleased to say due to the ongoing support of staff, patients and visitors wearing masks and increasing infection prevention measures such as regular hand washing, we have now seen a decline in respiratory infections such as flu and RSV admissions across our sites.
As a result, mandatory mask-wearing is no longer required across our sites, except in respiratory areas and norovirus outbreak-affected wards. Although this is a positive step, we do ask for everyone to stay vigilant and continue regular handwashing to keep others safe when visiting our sites.
We will continue to monitor the incidence rates of respiratory infections and reintroduce masks if necessary. Thank you for your continued support in keeping our patients, visitors and staff safe.
