New Chief Executive Commences Role

Aneurin Bevan University Health Board is delighted to announce the appointment of Nicola Prygodzicz as the new Chief Executive Officer. 

Nicola has spent the past 30 years working in the NHS in Wales. After joining Aneurin Bevan University Health Board in 2014 as an Assistant Finance Director, Nicola quickly progressed to be appointed to the role of Executive Director of Planning, Digital and IT in 2015 and more recently she took on the role of Deputy Chief Executive.

Nicola led the Clinical Futures Programme across the Health Board area and the opening of The Grange University Hospital in 2020.

Starting in the role of CEO today, Nicola said: “I can’t wait to get started and I look forward to meeting with our staff, communities and partners over the coming months in my new role.”

The Health Board would also like to thank Glyn Jones, who stepped in as Interim Chief Executive in November 2021 prior to Nicola’s appointment.
