New Online Women's Health Hub Launches to Support Communities Across Gwent

Monday 16th March 2026

A brand-new online women’s health hub has launched today in Gwent to help local women find the correct advice, information and support for women’s health concerns.

At the heart of our communities across Gwent, women and anyone accessing women’s health services, at any age, deserve to feel heard, understood, and supported. We want women across Gwent to have the knowledge, choice, and support they need to make decisions that reflect their health priorities, support their wellbeing, and help them thrive at every stage of life.

The online Women’s Health Hub offers support by featuring information on living a healthy lifestyle, details of community groups and local events to support their health, and guidance on how to access further support from healthcare professionals should they need it.

The new hub forms part of a wider Welsh Government project, which includes a national website dedicated to women’s health in Wales, providing a trusted, one-stop site for information, support and services. The website directly supports delivery of the NHS Wales Women’s Health Plan, a 10-year plan designed to close the gender health gap and improve healthcare services for women and girls across Wales.

Sarah Murphy, Minister for Mental Health and Wellbeing, said:

“We are determined to transform the way the NHS listens to and supports women and girls throughout their lives. This new website is an important step forward – it’s a dependable source of reliable information about women’s health and the services available to them.

“I welcome the strong collaboration between NHS organisations, academic partners and women to develop this website. I’m pleased to see it launched as part of our strong commitment to improving women’s healthcare.”
