Recapping on our International Day of the Midwife and International Nurses Day Celebrations!

We recently celebrated International Day of the Midwife on 5th May 2024 and International Nurses Day on 12th May 2024. From new born babies and student midwives to nursing through the ages and internationally educated nursing cafe awards… here’s a recap of the celebrations!

To kick off International Day of the Midwife, we asked our followers to share some love for a midwife that deserves it in the comments. They did not hold back!

  • “Tracey delivered our son back in 2022. She was amazing. And community midwife Sue visited us post birth a couple of times and she was the best xx”
  • “Won’t forget Lyn, Jackie and Caroline for the care during my pregnancy and for delivering my 2 sons back in 1995 & 1997 - thank you xxx”

Our Internationally Educated Nurses held a special ceremony to celebrate the day.

Many of our nursing staff paid tribute to nurses of the past by wearing older nursing uniforms for the day!
