Please note the following road closures on the A465 between Brynmawr & Gilwern from 10th-13th July, 13th-17th July (overnight) and 24th-27th July.

The weekend road closure is required to undertake work that cannot be safely completed whilst the road is open or under traffic management. This will include, but is not restricted to, the removal of the temporary roundabout at Saleyard, the opening of Saleyard junction along with the eastbound bus stop, central barrier construction and surfacing works. Other work will also be undertaken right throughout the project to maximise the full use of the road closure.
A minibus service will be provided to replace the Stagecoach Service 3 on Saturday. The minibus timetable will be operating as normal, however there will be significantly reduced seating capacity. In line with Welsh Government guidance, it is advised that a suitable face covering should be worn. This will be a condition of travel on the minibus.
Overnight road closures are scheduled on the A465 between Gilwern and Brynmawr *westbound only* from 20:30 until 06:00 the following morning. The overnight road closures are planned between Monday 13th July and Friday 17th July (5 nights).
The Westbound Lane closures are required for carrying out surfacing works on the A465 between Blackrock and Glanbaiden. Performing these works at night avoids further daytime closures.
We will do all that we can to minimise the impact of noise from these works and they should only affect nearby residents for periods of time as the works are carried out passing along the A465.
