Royal Visit for International Nurses

Internationally Educated Nurses from across the UK were invited to a special reception hosted by His Majesty, King Charles III, in celebration of his 75th birthday which coincides with the NHS75 celebrations. This event notably honours the dedicated efforts of nurses and midwives throughout the decades.

Representing ABUHB were Regina Reyes (Clinical Research Nurse Specialist), Indu Jacob (Ward Manager D3E), Elizabeth Tonio (Advanced Nurse Practitioner), and Eugenia Mirela Malureanu (Ward Manager D3W).

The Corporate Nursing team is extremely proud of the contribution international educated nurses make to excellent patient care in the Health Board and recognised the staff who attended the palace.

Executive Director of Nursing, Jennifer Winslade said: “A huge thank you for being ambassadors for both Nursing and ABUHB, these are special memories that you will always have.”

Clinical Research Nurse Specialist, Regina Reyes said: “It is an honour to be attending to a Reception for Nurses and Midwives, hosted by His Majesty, The King What a beautiful evening to remember! Thankful for this once in a lifetime opportunity to be able to meet the King and represent our fellow Internationally Educated Nurses!”
