As the Gwent Public Health Team, we believe that everyone deserves to live a long, healthy, and fulfilling life—no matter who they are or where they live. But right now, too many people in Gwent are facing avoidable health inequalities that impact their quality of life and how long they live, and this is not ok.
That’s why we are working together with our partners—including the NHS, local authorities, voluntary organisations, and communities—to create a fairer, healthier, safer, and stronger Gwent for all. Find out more about our work below.
A proud part of the Aneurin Bevan University Health Board, the Gwent Public Health Team transferred across from Public Health Wales in 2023 to enable a more local focus on improving the health and wellbeing of the local community. Now part of the Health Board the team work with communities and NHS partners to build a healthier, fairer, safer and stronger Gwent for all.
