The Gwent Violence Against Women, Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence Joint Strategic Needs Assessment

Everyone in Gwent should live free from the fear of violence and abuse.

Everyone deserves to feel safe at home, in their relationships and in their communities. Yet across Gwent, violence against women, domestic abuse and sexual violence continue to cause profound and lasting harm. The impact reaches far beyond the individual, affecting families and communities for years to come. If we do not act early to prevent violence and support those affected, inequalities deepen and the harm continues across generations.

To help achieve our collective goal, we are publishing the new Gwent Violence Against Women, Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence (VAWDASV) Joint Strategic Needs Assessment.

You can explore the 2 reports below:

  1. Summary Report– highlights the core findings from the Technical Report.

  2. Technical Report – a detailed description of the prevalence of VAWDASV, systems mapping and goals for the future of VAWDASV systems in Gwent.
