Arranging your appointment

When you are referred for an endoscopy test, our bookings team will add you to the appropriate waiting list. When the team are ready to offer you an appointment, they will send you a letter asking you to contact them to book your appointment.

You will usually be offered an appointment at the nearest hospital that offers the test you need. However, you may sometimes be offered an appointment at a hospital further away if the wait time is shorter.

If you need hospital transport, please mention this when booking your appointment.

To get you an appointment as soon as possible, your test may be booked with an endoscopist of any gender. If you have a specific preference or need, please mention this when booking your appointment.
