Attending your test

On the day of your appointment, it is important that you are prepared and have everything that you need. Before you leave for your appointment, make sure that you have:

• Your consent form - it should be in the pack of information you received with your appointment letter
• A copy of your prescription (if you take medication regularly)
• A spare change of comfortable clothes
• A book, e-reader, or tablet to pass the time while you are waiting

If you have a stoma, we also recommend bringing your usual kit of spare bags and wipes.

If you plan to have sedation for your procedure, you will need a responsible adult to accompany you home from the hospital. You will also need to have somebody who can stay with you for 24 hours after the procedure.
