Tests, Next Steps and Support

If abnormal cells are found during your cervical screening, you may have a colposcopy (a closer look at the cervix), sometimes with a biopsy. Results can take a few weeks. If cancer is confirmed, further tests (blood tests, scans) help plan treatment.

Treatment Options

Treatment depends on the stage and may include surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, or a combination. You’ll have a specialist team and a clinical nurse specialist for support.
