Public Services Ombudsman (Wales) Act 2019 - Notice
Notice pursuant to s.24(3) of the above Act.
The Public Services Ombudsman for Wales has investigated a complaint and found service failure by a Medical Centre within the Aneurin Bevan University Health Board area (“the Practice”) and has sent a report on the results of their investigation to Aneurin Bevan University Health Board and the Practice. The complaint related to the Practice failing to take appropriate action which would have resulted in an earlier diagnosis and treatment of a patient’s bladder cancer.
A copy of the report will be available on the Aneurin Bevan University Health Board’s website Final Investigation Report and for inspection by the public without charge during normal office hours at Aneurin Bevan University Health Board St Cadoc's Hospital Lodge Road Caerleon Newport NP18 3XQ for a period of 3 weeks from 29th January 2025 and anyone who wishes may take a copy of this report or make extracts therefrom.
