Children and Young People's Services

Our team helps children of all ages with hearing, including those who have other health needs. We work with other health workers to make sure your child gets the best care.

We hold clinics in different places, so it’s easier for families to come and see us.

How to Access Our Service

If you are worried about your child’s hearing, please speak to your GP, Health Visitor or other Health Professional. They can help by sending a referral to us.

We also see children who have been to our clinic in the last year, if parents are still concerned.

If you have any questions, you can contact us

What Happens During an Appointment?

The audiologist will test your child’s hearing. If your child is old enough, they will listen to sounds through headphones and respond. For younger children, sounds will be played from a speaker, and they will be rewarded for responding.

If Your Child has a Deafness:
We talk to parents or guardians about the test results and decide what to do next. This might include giving your child hearing aids or sending them to another team who can help.
