Urine Albumin (Urine Test)

We know that 40% of diabetes patients - that’s 2 people in every 5 - do not get this simple test done regularly, and because early stages of kidney disease are often symptom free; there are patients whose kidneys are silently struggling to function properly.

Urine Albumin to Creatinine Ratio (uACR) detects traces of protein in your urine which can indicate that your kidneys are under pressure. This early warning sign can then lead to further investigatory urine tests which will help determine what treatment if any is required.

If kidney disease is diagnosed, you may be required to have a urine test every few months to closely monitor your kidney function.
