My referral has not been accepted - What do I do?

The following information will help you to understand why your referral was not accepted and what further information we need.
 

Rejected for insufficient information

Please see the letter the Speech and Language Therapy Service has sent back to you asking for further information.  The letter will tell you what was missing.  Then complete the gaps on the referral form  and return the ORIGINAL REFERRAL to us Link to Contact us

 

Rejected because unable to benefit from SLT Service right now

We may have signposted you to our Tier 2 Services which may help you first.  Tier 2 Services may include:

  • Flying Start Services
  • Communication Forum for children in special schools
  • ComIT (Communication Intervention Team) - a service provided by Education to schools in the area
  • Community resource teams for Adults


Rejected because no service provided

Some services are provided by other departments/professionals.
