I'm looking for information on:

Health Visiting Service

Every family with children under five years old has a named Health Visitor, who can advise parents/carers on a wide variety of health and social issues. The aim of the health visiting teams are for children and their families to lead healthy lives, both physically and emotionally and promote the health of the whole community.

Health Visitors are qualified nurses, experienced in child health, working with a focus on health promotion with our medical, social, education and voluntary services. Midwives, Health Visitors and School Nurses support the well-being of all children throughout their growing years.

What is the role of a Health Visitor?

When will I be seen by my health visiting team?

The Healthy Child Wales Programme sets out key times when you will receive contact from your health visiting service which are detailed below. These scheduled appointments may take place at home, at a clinic or virtually.

You will be called by the team to arrange your initial birth visit, and you may be contacted via text regarding your appointments with the Health Visiting Service. So it is important that we have an up-to-date mobile number to contact you on.

Please call 01633 431 685 to update us with any changes to your contact information or if you need to rearrange any appointments.
