If you are concerned someone may be a significant and immediate risk to themselves in terms of suicide or self-harm, consider the following:
If the individual at risk is an inpatient in the Royal Gwent Hospital or St Woolos Hospital, and is of working age, contact the Psychiatric Liaison Service
If the individual at risk is an inpatient in the Royal Gwent Hospital or St Woolos Hospital and aged 65 or over contact the Specialist Older Adult Liaison Service
If the individual at risk is under 18 years of age, contact Ty Bryn Child and Adolescent Unit at St Cadoc’s Hospital (Tel: 01633 436833, fax: 01633 436834) or via the on call CAMHS consultant out of hours.
If the individual is an inpatient at another hospital site, contact the Duty Desk at the local adult or older adult community mental health team (CMHT) (see numbers below)
If the individual is an outpatient contact their GP and/or the Duty Desk at the local Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) (see numbers below)
