Interim Executive Director of Primary Care, Community and Mental Health
After completing his first degree in Psychology at the University of Exeter in 1993 Chris completed his Doctoral training in Cardiff and qualified as a Clinical Psychologist in 1998.
Since qualifying Chris has worked clinically across South Wales working with individuals with a Learning Disability and their families/carers.
Chris has held a number of leadership and management roles within the NHS. Chris has worked as Aneurin Bevan University Health Board’s Divisional Director for Mental Health and Learning Disability services since 2012 and has now taken up the post of Executive Director of Primary Care, Community and Mental Health on an interim basis.
Since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic Chris has been the NHS Advisor working with Swansea and Cardiff Universities to undertake the Wales Wellbeing Covid-19 research studies. Chris has recently been asked to be a contributor to the International Mental Health Collaborating Network (IMHCN) Learning Development and Training School.
