What public transport will be available to go to the site?

There will be a public bus service to the site, and discussions with service providers will take place to assess frequency and timing of these routes. We are also investigating public transport links between our existing hospitals as part of a Gwent-wide travel plan.

In the meantime, please see the following link to Traveline Cymru website - My Health Journey planner.

Please note:  As timetables are subject to change during Covid it is advisable to check Traveline Cymru’s Covid update page

Please see the following Travel Guidance from Welsh Government during the Coronavirus Pandemic.

Newport Transport have now officially confirmed the enhanced 29B service to GUH will be operational from Monday 12th October. Currently the entrance off the new roundabout is not accessible so the service will utilise the existing bus stop on Caerleon Road rather than the stop within The Grange University Hospital.  Due to traffic works there is a temporary timetable in place. All buses using this route are brand new and fully electric which will mean lower carbon emissions, better air quality and reduced noise.
