Video Consultation

We now offer video consultation appointments to our patients using web based application called Attend Anywhere. You do not need to download any app to use this because you will be able to access the Attend Anywhere application through a link the hospital sends to you for your video appointment. Not all patients will be suitable for a video appointment because for some eye conditions, we need a real face to face appointment in clinic. You will also not be suitable for a video appointment if don’t have a device (PC, Tablet, Smart mobile phone). A Smart mobile phone can access the internet and has a camera. If you are able to video call with Zoom, WhatsApp, Google Meet etc, then it is likely that your device will be suitable for video appointments using Attend Anywhere.

Your consultant will decide if your eye condition is suitable for a video appointment and you will be contacted by our department to check that you are able to undertake video calls and the appointment details and link will be sent to you.

Information for callers can be found at NHS Attend Anywhere

Please use this test link to check that your device (PC, Tablet or Mobile Phone) is suitable for a video call.

If you have any problems connecting, please follow the trouble shooting link.
