Where will the appointment be?   

The appointment will be at The Royal Gwent Hospital Main Outpatient Department. To talk to someone about your referral, please contact us on 01873 732316.   

If you have concerns about this referral or if you have not received a telephone call within 72 hours, please do not hesitate to contact us as members of the team are always ready to help.  

Patient Transport

If you do not have your own transport patient transport can be used.

Please contact 0300 123 2303. Escorts on a journey are not allowed with the exemption of patients under 18 years. Transport must be booked at least 2 working days prior to an appointment.

Parking

Limited parking and Blue Badge parking is available within the hospital grounds and is free. 'Drop-off' points are also available should you need to drop someone at the hospital before you obtain a parking space. The staff at the front of the hospital will be able to direct you.

Extra parking is available and accessible via Mendalgief Road. To access Mendalgief Road, travelling away from the city centre, continue to go past the Royal Gwent Hospital (on your right), keep in the left hand lane, you will come to a set of lights. Turn left at the lights and take the second left into Mendalgief Car Park. 

Travelling from the M4 Tredegar Park direction, continue along Cardiff Road with Belle Vue Park on your left. At the traffic lights, keep to the right hand lane. Turn right, then second left into Mendalgief Road car park.
