We offer a specialised menopause clinic. This is for women with a complex medical history, women experiencing difficulties with side-effects of HRT or are finding it difficult to find a suitable treatment for their menopausal symptoms.
We only accept referrals from GP’s and secondary care (i.e. gynaecology and breast cancer services). For management of menopause symptoms we recommend seeing your GP in the first instance or speak to your practice nurse.
If you are having problems with sex then discuss it first with one of the staff in the sexual health clinic or your GP. You can be referred to the Wells clinic for talking therapies. The Wells Clinic has appointments in Newport and Bargoed. There is usually a waiting list of 6-8 weeks. We offer telephone and video consultations as well as face to face.
