Connect

CONNECT is the first Tier 3 Specialist Weight Management Service for Children and Young People (CYP) in Wales, covering the whole of Aneurin Bevan University Health Board.

Within CONNECT, we have a clinical psychologist that is part of the Paediatric Psychology team who works alongside a team of professionals to support children, young people, and their families with managing weight and improving their physical and emotional health.

You can find out more about Connect and our referral process on our webpage.

Who do we see?

CONNECT work directly with children, young people and their families and with other health professionals such as GPs, health visitors, school nurses and teachers to provide an individualised service. CONNECT supports young people aged 0 - 16 years with a BMI centile of +3.33SD or higher.
