Dietitian's Week 2026

Monday 1st June 2026

This year’s Dietitians Week (1st-5th June), we are proud to join colleagues across the UK in celebrating the invaluable contribution of Dietitians and the impact they make every day across Aneurin Bevan University Health Board.

It’s also an annual opportunity to shine a spotlight on the profession and raise awareness of the vital role Dietitians play.

Dietitians are healthcare professionals who assess, diagnose and treat nutritional problems. Across our Health Board, they work in a wide range of settings—from early year settings, paediatrics, across our acute and community hospital wards, critical care, catering departments, care homes, outpatient settings, schools, care homes and patients’ homes, providing training and education across many community settings and leisure facilities — supporting people at every stage of life.

Led by the British Dietetic Association, this year's theme is “More than just a job”.

“A dietetic career is more than just a job. It’s a vocation grounded in empathy, science and service. At its heart is the commitment to improve people’s lives, whether it be through education, research, advocacy or providing the best care Dietitians can”.

More than just a job

Dietitians are making critical decisions, supporting complex care and improving outcomes across our services every day.

During Dietitians Week, we are proud to celebrate the skill, compassion and impact of our dietetic workforce.
