During the coronavirus pandemic we are unable to offer face to face antenatal classes. This is due to social distancing, infection control restrictions and staffing. We have provided some online support for antenatal preparation.
There is an Aneurin Bevan University Health Board Maternity designated Facebook page where you can find maternity information in an album under ‘photos’. In addition we have collaborated with the other Health Boards across Wales to create an ‘All Wales Antenatal Education Page’ on Facebook (please note that this page is not managed by ABUHB maternity services and for individual help and advice we ask that you contact your midwife).
The Welsh Government have provided free access to online classes using the Solihull Approach.
Positions for birth, pregnancy yoga, hypnobirthing, mindfulness and relaxation techniques can all be found under videos on the All wales Antenatal page. There is also a folder for breast feeding preparation.
Please talk to your midwife to discuss your individual needs (including information provided in languages other than English and Welsh, or access to an interpreter).
