Sepsis is your body’s extreme response to infection, it can cause tissue damage, organ failure, and even death.

An adult or older child has any of these symptoms of sepsis:

Slurred speech or confusion
Extreme shivering or muscle pain
Passing no urine (in a day)
Severe breathlessness
It feels like you’re going to die
Skin mottled or discoloured

If you feel seriously unwell after a dental issue, don’t wait, seek medical help immediately.
