Volunteering

Volunteering with Aneurin Bevan University Health Board

Aneurin Bevan University Health Board (ABUHB) recognises the important and valuable contribution made by volunteers who give freely of their time to enhance the services provided by paid staff, with the aim of improving the experience for patients, their families, and carers.  The Health Board is committed to ensuring that volunteers are treated consistently and with respect throughout the organisation, in order to ensure that the volunteering experience is positive.

The ABUHB Volunteering Framework helps us to make sure that volunteers are trained, supported and are able to use their skills so that they and the people volunteers support have a good experience.

Our existing volunteers play a key role in the services we provide, supporting people in hospital and in their own homes, and make a real difference to people’s lives.

If you have time to spare and would like to volunteer, we can support you with a volunteer role to suit you.

If you would like to know more about our volunteering opportunities, please do not hesitate to contact a member of the team either by telephone on 01495 768645 or email ABB.Ffrindimi@wales.nhs.uk.
