Hiraeth (Complex Needs) Service

The Hiraeth team provide trauma and relationally informed care to people who have complex and a wide range of mental or physical health needs under ABUHB Mental Health and Learning Disabilities Division. We aim to help our Mental Health teams to provide such care for the person they support as close to home as possible.

Hiraeth – A spiritual longing for a home which maybe never was. Nostalgia for ancient places to which we cannot return. It is the echo of lost places in our soul’s past and our grief for them. It is the wind, and the rocks, and the waves. It is nowhere and it is everywhere.
