HIV Testing Awareness Week (Wales) 18th – 24th November 2024

It is HIV Testing Awareness Week in Wales, and the Sexual Health team want to take this opportunity to encourage everyone to test for HIV.

Many people are HIV positive without realising, but can avoid life-affecting issues by testing.  HIV can affect anyone and any gender so being diagnosed early is the best strategy to getting treatment and avoiding future illnesses.

It’s easy to do, quick to get results, and free to order.

There will be two 'pop up' clinics for testing week – where you can collect a free Test and Post (TAP) kit, ask questions for advice, receive signposting and help to complete the test, should you want to do it there. In Newport you can also receive support on how to access Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP).
