Following the Government’s announcement regarding partial lockdown, it is with regret that we will now have to suspend all hospital visiting on all our sites to protect our patients and reduce the spread of infection.

Due to the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, it has been necessary for us to revise the opening hours of the Minor Injuries Unit at Ysbyty Ystrad fawr. 

The Chief Pharmaceutical Officer for Wales today (Thursday 19th March) set out five simple steps everyone can take to get the right support from their community pharmacy during the coronavirus outbreak.

In order to protect patients, the public and our staff we are introducing restricted visiting on all of our wards and patient areas until further notice.

Please note, due to the closure of the Block 3 entrance at the Royal Gwent Hospital, Haematology patients will need to enter via an alternative route..

Due to the operational changes we are making in preparation for caring for patients with COVID-19, from Monday 16^th March we will be closing the Belle Vue entrance at the Royal Gwent Hospital.

We are aware of an inaccurate story circulating this morning regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19) and the A&E Department at Nevill Hall Hospital and the Minor Injuries Unit at Ysbyty Aneurin Bevan.

We can confirm that all of our services are open and we would encourage patients who do need to use these services to attend as normal.
