The Friends of ABUHB (Aneurin Bevan University Health Board) Breast Unit was set up in 2018 with the aim of raising £200k towards the new unit, which is due to open at Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr in late 2021.

The Welsh Blood Service needs to collect over 350 donations of blood every day and demand has risen steadily over the last 10 years as medical techniques become evermore sophisticated.
