Following the recent Supreme Court Judgement the Health Board wants to reaffirm to our communities that we remain fully committed to providing respectful, safe, and inclusive care for everyone.
We continue to stand with and support transgender people — our patients, staff, and wider community — and we understand how important it is that everyone feels seen, valued, and safe when using our services. We also recognise that many women rely on single-sex spaces for their sense of dignity, privacy, and safety.
We know these are sensitive issues that affect real lives, and we will take time to carefully review our policies so they reflect both the law and our deep commitment to fairness, kindness, and compassion.
Our guiding principle will always be to act in the best interests of individuals — balancing rights where needed, listening with empathy, and making sure everyone receives the care they need and deserve.
