In order to ensure the safety of the public, patients and health care staff from 6pm today, all Caerphilly Dental Practices will only be able provide urgent/essential dental care and will not see any patients who live outside the borough for routine dental care at this time.
All other Dental Practices across Aneurin Bevan University Health Board have been advised to delay seeing routine/non-essential patients who live in the Caerphilly borough until further notice regarding lockdown measures.
All NHS dental practices remain open. If you have a dental problem that has not improved with painkillers, a dental infection or a lump, swelling or ulcer that has not disappeared after 2 weeks you are advised to phone your dental practice or local dental helpline on 01633 744387.
If you, or a family member or someone you live with has COVID 19, the dental practice can provide advice over the phone, and write a prescription for medication if it is required. If you need emergency dental care you may need to be seen in one of the COVID 19 dental centres which has the right PPE (masks, gowns, visors) to protect the dental team. The dental helpline or your dentist are able to refer you if it is required.
