Today we celebrate our Patron Saint of Wales, St David, who famously said “do the little things”.
Ffrind i Mi volunteer, Sylvia, has been giving up her time to visit patients in hospitals across Gwent and was delighted when she recently came across a Welsh-speaking patient with whom she was able to converse in Welsh. This immediately put the patient at ease, and Sylvia said that their smile was all the gratitude she needs - a little thing to her that made a big difference to the patient.
