Health Board Turned Pink in Aid of Breast Cancer Awareness and New Breast Centre

Monday 25th October 2021

As part of Breast Cancer Awareness month, Aneurin Bevan University Health Board was turned pink on Friday 22nd October for the national Turn it Pink Day.

Along with the national campaign, Health Board staff took part in the Turn ABUHB Pink campaign to raise much needed funds for Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr's new Breast Centre, which is due to open in 2022.

Staff across the Health Board took part in the campaign by wearing pink, decorating their workplaces in pink or even by holding pink tea parties!

Staff member, Vicky, (pictured below) went one step further and took part in a sponsored hair chop to raise additional money for the centre. Well done Vicky, you are inspirational!

Thank you to all of our staff who helped us turn the Health Board pink in aid of a very worthy cause.

If you would like to donate to the new Breast Centre in Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr, you can do so via the Centre's Just Giving page.
