Important information for patients travelling to hospital appointments

Due to local lockdown restrictions in Blaenau Gwent, Newport and Caerphilly Boroughs, Gwent Police have announced that they will be using road checks to help enforce lockdown measures.

If you are a patient travelling outside your Borough of residence to attend a hospital appointment we advise that you bring your appointment letter with you as evidence that you are accessing healthcare at one of the Health Board's sites. If you do not have a copy of a letter we advise you to keep a record of the following telephone numbers so that you can call to confirm your appointment and assist the police with evidencing your reason for travelling.
