JCVI Announcement

Today (Friday 7th May) the JCVI have announced that those under 40 years (with no clinical risk factors) should be offered an alternative vaccine to Oxford AstraZeneca.
We can assure you that from today, all our first dose clinics across our Health Board area vaccinating this age group will be given the Pfizer vaccine across all our vaccination centres.
Those aged 30-39 years will be offered the Pfizer vaccine from Friday 7th May 2021 in line with the updated JCVI guidance.
