News from today's Board Meeting

At today’s Board Meeting (Tuesday 30th June 2020), members supported a proposal for the early opening of The Grange University Hospital for November 2020, as part of our operational planning process and winter preparations during the COVID-19 pandemic.

This proposal will now be submitted to Welsh Government for consideration and final approval.

The Board also approved an outline business case to support the construction of a new Unified Breast Unit at Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr. The proposed new unit would provide high quality diagnostic and treatment services for the residents of Gwent. It would bring together a range of services that are currently provided across three hospital sites.

This business case will now be submitted to Welsh Government for their consideration for funding from the All Wales Capital Programme.
