Thank You to Newport Live for support during Mass Vaccinations

As the venue will no longer be available to us, our Mass Vaccination team will be leaving Newport Centre on 30th September 2022.

Since opening its doors in January 2021, the Newport Covid-19 Mass Vaccination Centre has played a crucial role in our Covid-19 Mass Vaccination Programme. Working closely with Newport Live and Newport City Council to protect our communities, the centre’s Mass Vaccination team have administered over 344,000 Covid-19 vaccinations.

Nicola Prygodzicz, Chief Executive of Aneurin Bevan University Health Board, said:

“I’d like to thank the team at Newport Mass Vaccination Centre, who have worked tirelessly since its opening to administer vital Covid-19 vaccinations and offer the best possible protection to our communities”.

“I’d also like to thank both Newport Live and Newport City Council for their fantastic support over the past 18 months."

Our Mass Vaccination Centres at Coleg Gwent Pontypool Campus, Pontllanfraith Leisure Centre and Ebbw Vale General Offices will remain open. Some colleagues in our GP surgeries and local Pharmacies will also be offering vaccination appointments, so that we can continue to efficiently deliver the Autumn Booster Vaccination Programme across the Health Board area.

Those who are eligible for the Covid-19 Autumn Booster will be invited to their appointment directly. Further information on the Autumn Booster programme can be found at Covid-19 Vaccination Programme - Aneurin Bevan University Health Board (nhs.wales)
