Time Capsule found at Tredegar Development site

As part of the NHS 75 Birthday celebrations, on Monday 3rd July, the BBC featured a story on a time capsule dating back 120 years. The time capsule was found in 2020 on the development site of the old Tredegar Hospital which was demolished to make way for the £19m Bevan Health & Wellbeing Centre, due to open later this year.

The capsule was opened on 20th July 2022 at Cardiff University by two experts where old coins and newspapers were discovered.

The contents of the capsule are now on display in Tredegar's local museum and will eventually be displayed in The Bevan Health & Wellbeing Centre.
