Wales Health Disability Activity Pathway Team wins NHS Wales Award!

The pan-Wales Health Disability Activity Pathway Team have won an award in the category of “Improving Health and Wellbeing” at the NHS Wales Awards!

The team were presented with the award by Judith Paget, Director General for Health and Social Services and Chief Executive of NHS Wales.

Samantha Edwards, Health Disability Activity Practitioner and Physiotherapy Technician, said, “We are a Wales wide team in the Health Disability Activity Pathway. There is a Health Disability Activity Practitioner in all the Health Boards who endeavour to ensure that all adults and children with disabilities and impairments receive help to become more physically active.

As a Health Disability Activity Practitioner, my role is to speak to staff members about the Health Disability Activity Pathway and how they can signpost both children and adults, from aged 2+ with no upper limit, to the pathway with a view of them becoming more physically active.”

The team were absolutely delighted to win this award!
